Andy Warhol Tate Virutal Tour

Due to the gallery currently being closed the Andy Warhol exhibition at Tate Modern has been conducted via a virtual tour. Tate curators Gregor Muir and Fiontán Moran as they discuss Warhol through the lens of the immigrant story, his LGBTQI identity and concerns with death and religion.

The exhibition shows Warhols work during it’s dramatic transition, working with film e.t.c. After being forced to leave the silver factory, and being shot, Warhol becomes more nervous and by the 80s Warhol is widely recognisable as a persona and has become a brand.

Andy Warhol is one of the most important artists of the last half of the 21st century and is still relevant to this current century.
